Tai chi is a Chinese martial art that was created about 400 years ago. It was originally created for combat, but many people practice tai chi to improve their health, calm their mind and better their life
Simply Chi provides our little ones the benefits of exercise without the dangers of high-impact sports. It is famous for building energy strengthening joints so that there is less prone to injury. Tai chi will get mind and body working together as one whilst at the same time having lots of fun with the postures
Benefits of Simply Chi are improved balance, as the exercises work on motor skills; improved emotional health, from the slow, measured movements and deep breathing; and heightened senses, from concentration on the movements
Simply Chi classes start with energetic warm up exercises, followed by standing postures and traditional choreographed forms or sequences. The class ends with more energetic warm down exercises
Wear t-shirts and tracksuit pants or shorts. The floor is centrally heated, so classes are done in bare feet.
